Position Specific Description

Join our team and play a key role in the success of our Nuclear IT business unit by ensuring the reliability and security of our IT infrastructure and software environment. Your expertise and dedication will help us maintain high standards of performance and safety within our nuclear power plant environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as an Information Technology IT Program Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for upgrading, maintaining, and managing software applications. You will interact with customers, vendors, and IT partners within the company to ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Management:

• Upgrade, maintain, and manage software applications to ensure they remain current and functional.

• Monitor and apply software updates and patches to maintain security and performance.

• Develop and implement processes for efficient software deployment and management.

• Customer Interaction:

• Act as a point of contact for customers, providing technical support and addressing their IT needs.

• Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify and implement improvements in software applications.

• Provide training and assistance to customers in using software applications effectively.

• Vendor and IT Partner Coordination:

• Collaborate with vendors to procure, implement, and maintain software solutions.

• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and software updates.

• Coordinate with internal IT partners to align software applications with company policies and technological standards.

• Technical Expertise:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to software applications.

• Ensure the integration of software applications with existing IT infrastructure.

• Develop documentation and guidelines for the use and maintenance of software applications.

Qualifications:

• Experience:

• Proven experience in software management, maintenance, and deployment.

• Strong background in technical support and customer service.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in software troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Knowledge:

• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.

• Understanding of software licensing and compliance.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.

Additional Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are considered an advantage.

• Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

• Security Clearance: Successful completion of a background check, including a Nuclear background check, is required for this position.

• Safety Compliance: Ability to work in a radiation-controlled environment while strictly adhering to all safety regulations.

• Collaboration: Willingness to collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure needs and provide desktop support as necessary.

Job Overview

This position assesses, designs, develops, integrates and troubleshoots technology to support business processes. Employees provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams, as needed within specific or multiple disciplines. This position is accountable for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems, as well as ensuring that excellent technical support services are provided.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes, and enhances existing or new systems

• Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology

• Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

• Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes including receiving, resolution monitoring, and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

• Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems

• Designs, develops, and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

• Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation

• Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required

• Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
