MasTec Utility Services Director of Sales Support in Jacksonville, Florida

MasTec-Utility Services activities include the installation, maintenance and upgrade of telecommunications and utility infrastructure, including but not limited to: telecommunications, electrical and natural gas distribution infrastructure.
We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized Director of Sales Support to lead the development of proposals and responses to RFIs and RFQs in Jacksonville, FL. This is not a sales person position, and sales does not report into this position. This is a support position that supports the sales efforts of both operations and sales and is a hands-on position.
The Director of Sales Support works directly with the operations and sales teams to support inquires and proposals that are received. The Director of Sales Support guides the proposal and RFP processes for successfully responding to customer project opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the sales team and other company leaders to develop appropriate sales / marketing support tools while ensuring their effectiveness.
Develops and maintains a customer-focused relationship with internal stakeholders across all regions by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.
Responsible for completion of customer sales / project opportunities and proposals (RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s).
Drives sales process / workflow, utilization and reporting of opportunity pipeline using SalesForce.
Supports national team on customer facing projects and needs. Leads qualification documentation process for new and existing customers.
Responsible for event management at external trade shows and conferences.
Collaborates with other MasTec service lines in pursuit of opportunities, qualifications and sales process.
Develops presentations and sales/marketing content.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Construction or engineering industry experience required.
Minimum of 10-15 years Marketing and Sales Support roles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with SalesForce administration.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, SalesForce and Web Databases.
Proven history of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to “think outside the box”.
Extensive proposal, contract and copy writing experience.
