Job summary/Purpose

The ASL is the subject matter expert for the coordination, conduct and documentation of Nuclear Fleet training assessments. The ASL reports to the Manager, Accreditation and Assessment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Evaluates accredited training programs, processes, and materials

Administer assigned accredited training program assessments

Interface with site training functional area managers to coordinate and conduct accredited training program assessments.

Responsible for standardization with fleet wide processes and procedures related to coordination, conduct and documentation of nuclear fleet assessments

Provides governance over other fleet training initiatives (examples include training resulting from fleet business plan initiatives, SOERs, company-wide training, etc.).

Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on issues related to accredited training programs

Uses new and existing technology to improve efficiency, quality and cost of training assessments

Provides training expertise on fleet standardization and technology projects.

Leads and/or participates in training self-assessments.

Performs duties as contract manager for venders that provide training services.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

BS degree in science, engineering or education with prior experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or technical services (or equivalent) at a commercial nuclear power plant, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

5 years of relevant accredited training experience. Experience leading accredited training assessments and writing assessment reports. Desired: 3 years prior experience as accredited training supervisor.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Ability to confidentially manage sensitive records of the company. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to handle multiple and time sensitive projects. Ability to apply technology tools and process to find solutions to training related problems.

Must have the skills and knowledge to administer accredited training programs.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Office environment with minimal physical requirements.
