This is an entry level of the Project Controls Specialist classification hierarchy. Employees at this level are responsible for routine aspects of project controls assignments with close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills and abilities to work with greater independence. They understand basic project controls principles and associated software. This position typically is assigned to Segment 1 or 2 projects.
Responsible for gathering, verifying, validating and analyzing data in support of project controls reporting.
Generate or assist in generating daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly project controls reports.
Perform Change Control by assisting in tracking and managing changes to project scope, schedule and cost baselines. Identify, assess, gain approval for and distribute change request, change notices and/or change orders in an accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, processes and procedures.
Facilitates project funding approvals in accordance with company policies, processes and procedures.
Processes and codes invoices and contracts as appropriate. Maintain Project Management SharePoint site, procedures, templates, and tools.
Assist with project assessments, benchmarking, reporting, analyses and training.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
Minimum experience required of the position
0 years of experience. Experience in an operating nuclear power plant environment construction, maintenance, operations, production, finance or equivalent is desired.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Basic understanding of Project Management or Project Controls concepts. Ability to apply computer attributes using spreadsheets, databases, and other computer software.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: PMP or AACE certification
Office environment with minimal physical requirements. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties. Minimal travel may be required.
