This is a hybrid position located one of offices in New Orleans, LA, Little Rock, AR, The Woodlands, TX, or Jackson, MS. Those outside of these areas would be required to relocate to the area. Relocation assistance is not available for the posting

Job Summary/Purpose

A core function of the IT Consultant – Exchange/O365 Administrator provides management, oversight and maintenance over the Exchange environment supporting a robust cross-functional userbase of 15K+ users. The Exchange/O365 environment is critical to the successful operations across Entergy and the Exchange Administrator plays a crucial role not only in the maintenance of the environment, but also in its future-state planning and management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform daily responsibilities to manage and Microsoft Exchange and supporting infrastructure, both on-premises and online via M365

  • Responsible for escalations in support of customer/team escalations or related incidents

  • Assist in the design and implementation of future-state Exchange environment.

  • Responsible to provide required system reporting (audit, performance, etc)

  • Responsible to provide problem resolution, root cause analysis, management, and documentation of all Messaging related issues.

MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Required for this Position.

BS/BA degree strongly preferred. Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical area of study preferred.

Minimum Experience Required for this Position.

  • 6+ years of experience as an Exchange Administrator or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server

  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Azure

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.

  • Working knowledge of email security standards and practices

  • Understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls

  • Specific and direct experience with at least one ticketing system (Service Now, Remedy, HEAT, etc.)

  • Familiarity with business operations and best in class technology landscape

  • Experience monitoring end user hardware for vulnerabilities and compliance.

Knowledge/Skills/Capabilities Required for this position.

  • Ability to perform daily responsibilities to manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers and related infrastructure, both on-premises and in M365 Exchange Online

  • Ability to troubleshoot, with cross-functional teams, Microsoft Exchange issues and escalations.

  • Review regular system monitoring, verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

  • Provide tier 2 and 3 support for Exchange and messaging related issues.

  • Assist users with email configuration, access issues and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain user accounts, distribution groups, resources and permissions.

  • Implement and manage email security protocols.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to create and articulate technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Ability to work effectively with teams and resources in a multi-location, cross-functional, network/matrix environment.

  • Ability to leverage continuous improvement practices to provide sustainable value to internal/external customers.

  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
