General Summary

This position will be responsible for maintaining damage prevention, public safety outreach and system integrity program documents, executing program support activities, compiling performance data, office and field audits of MISS DIG activities and administering support for MISS DIG processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer System Integrity Change Authorization Forms (CAF) and Management of Change (MOC) Process.

  • Maintain mapping shape files for MISS DIG member codes through coordination with gas and electric mapping departments.

  • Administer Pipeline Public Awareness (PPA) activities by managing team meetings, maintaining supporting materials (gas safety brochures, surveys, etc.) and conducting annual evaluation and update of PPA program.

  • Maintain address databases for Pipeline Public Awareness (PPA) mailings and for use in MISS DIG ticket clearing.

  • Conduct office and field audits to monitor compliance with MISS DIG law and System Integrity regulations.

  • Administer “Plan Do Check Adjust” cycle for damage prevention, public safety outreach and other gas programs through Rally Rooms, follow up on G2/KPMG and other audits, etc.

  • Maintain job aids and process diagrams for damage prevention and public safety outreach through quarterly reviews and updates

  • The essential functions of the position are to monitor and maintain processes to assure compliance with gas code and MISS DIG laws.

  • MISS DIG compliance has significant impact on public safety by assuring that CE is responding appropriately to gas and electric staking requests initiated by excavators and homeowners. The position will monitor mapping data to assure it is current. It will audit and monitor processes and field activities to identify any gaps in meeting the requirements of the law.

  • The position will be responsible to update the materials and processes used to educate the public about natural gas safety in compliance with the code requirements outlined in API RP1162 Pipeline Public Awareness guidelines.

  • The position will be responsible to administer the gas system integrity change authorization and management of change processes to track compliance with procedures required under the system integrity rules.

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of applicable experience and a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field. New college graduates with an advanced degree may be placed at this level. Less than a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.

Essential Functions:

General technical analysis supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, negotiations, transactions, customer services and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the company. Duties and who this individual reports to will fluctuate between projects, departments and offices. Lead and/or assist with technical support for the plans, reports, impacts, contracts, schedules, estimates, data collection, observation, and field investigation. Provide technical, non-engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted applications software and equipment to prepare technical support documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard procedures for projects. Become familiar with business and technical plans and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication. Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. Public involvement may include producing reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual material as well as occasional speaking or meeting with stakeholders. Attend internal and external meetings. Provide technical support services in a legal and ethical manner. Regular attendance is expected.

Hours and Travel:

This position requires the individual work 40 hours per week with 90% of time spent in the office or specific field locations.
