Our company is looking for a Request Fulfillment Manager who can analyze our current systems and create the most cost effective and best methods for day-to-day IT purchasing. This role will be accountable for coordination of all IT purchase requests across all lines of IT, Business, Contractors and Managed Services organizations. This includes managing teams delivering the request services. As Request Fulfillment Manager you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. Qualifications include great negotiation skills, communication skills, organizational skills, strong knowledge of supply chain, asset, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure service stability and quality aligned with Service Level Agreements, Operational Level Agreements and underpinning contracts across the IT.

  • Ensures proper performance of regional and local (where applicable) vendor outsourcing in meeting contracted support and delivery obligations for Request Fulfillment.

  • Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors

  • Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures

  • Negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal pricing

  • Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

  • Oversees adherence to product technical standards for all IT purchase requests.

  • Assist in developing more effective invoice auditing and approval processes

  • Must be able to operate in a transforming, fast-paced, complex, high visibility environment with multiple competing priorities

  • Manages service escalation to resolution, and identifies continuous improvement opportunities as appropriate.

  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and follow-up for improvement opportunities

  • Work with Business Partners to understand customer demand requirements and ensure fulfillment of the customer demand.

  • Participates in regular meetings in service operational reviews.

  • Responsible for personnel management

  • Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders

  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting

  • Managing staff, customer and management concerns, requests, issues and enquiries

  • Performance manage, develop and motivate purchasing staff

  • Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions

  • Financial management for IT product, operational resources, contracts and managed service provider related expenditures

  • Manage direct and indirect contract resources that will span multiple geographies (where applicable).

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT purchasing or related field

  • 7+ years of managing direct reports

  • ERP software

Essential Functions

Works closely with department managers and users to define and analyze business and operational problems, process improvement opportunities and requirements; analyzes operational and business mandates and legal requirements; identifies and analyzes complex, ambiguous and/or conflicting business process issues; advises department managers on applications development, enhancement and maintenance issues; explains technology and process options and assists managers in analysis and decision making; analyzes management information needs and recommends data and reporting processes; coordinates the development of department priorities and works within IT to align initiatives to these priorities; facilitates user meetings and joint development sessions. Develops and refines business models and relationship diagrams; evaluates methods of improving efficiency and cost effectiveness of business, technical and operational processes; works with users to reengineer work processes; analyzes functional business requirements and translates user expectations into detailed business requirements, specifications and success criteria; works with Information Systems to develop conceptual proposals for business process automation initiatives; recommends work process and/or operational changes to complement system functionalities; serves as an advocate for department needs with IT; stays abreast of developments in departmental processes to anticipate emerging technology needs. Participates in the development of statements of work for RFPs/RFIs; participates in evaluating vendor applications and solutions; coordinates department review of vendor deliverables for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that department needs and requirements have been met. Develops significant application/hardware solutions to problems and addresses change request issues that require assignment of resources. Analyzes and troubleshoots complex and sometimes urgent applications problems and errors; takes action or communicates solutions to problems; answers technical questions and provides guidance to users on system functionalities and methods for correcting problems. Develops training materials and handouts; conducts user applications training classes and one-on-one training sessions; develops and maintains user and system documentation. Designs and generates custom reports to meet user needs; uses reporting tools to extract user-required data. Plans and coordinates the deployment of new technologies for client solutions; coordinates user acceptance testing and the resolution of problems identified. Regular attendance is expected.
