Become a Resiliency Planning & Compliance Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you will lead and manage a team responsible for the Planning and Compliance programs in the Business Resiliency (BR) Department of SCE. Additionally, you will provide leadership, mentorship and direction to a team of senior staff members passionate about managing corporate-wide programs for emergency planning, continuity and recovery planning and the department’s compliance programs.As a Senior Manager , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine brightly!

  • Lead development of corporate level emergency/contingency response and recovery plans threats and hazards (i.e. earthquakes, wildfires etc.)

  • Manage and lead governance of SCE’s business continuation and IT disaster recovery planning programs.

  • Design and implement all BR related compliance programs where you will develop compliance program plans, controls, evidence collection and reporting requirements.

  • Provide transparency and influence senior levels internally and externally working with our partners.

  • Develop teams and individuals.

  • Create strategy, vision and in-depth problem solving.

  • Design and implement new programs and mature existing programs.

  • Represent Department and Programs in meetings with internal senior leadership and external leadership (i.e. CPUC, Emergency Management Agencies etc.)


The essentials

  • Five years of experience managing or supervising an organizational unit.

  • Five years of experience working in emergency management, business continuity and recovery and/or resiliency and/or compliance programs.

  • Three years of experience establishing and leading new initiatives that introduce cross organizational change.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field, applicable profession, business or technical area of study.

  • 10+ years’ experience related to emergency management, business continuity and recovery, and/or compliance programs.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop appropriate tactical steps to meet strategic goals.

  • Experience working with Emergency Management Principles and the Incident Command System.

  • Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • This position resides in the Business Resiliency Department which is also the company’s emergency management function. This position will be expected to fill a role supporting Emergency Response Operations, as needed, and directed by department management.
