Become a Regional Site Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead integrated logistics activities across multiple strategic suppliers; ensuring adequacy of supplier support and performance; and drive strategic efforts across entire supply chain, with a primary focus in logistics. In addition, this Manager will support supplier integration and provide continuous improvement efforts within the supplier and SCE organizations. In this role you will serve as a Logistics Section Chief on the Incident Management Team assisting with the logistics of restoration of service following natural disasters and other critical events.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart, and shine bright!

  • Manage a represented (union) workforce while working directly with Contractor Safety to manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors.

  • Work with procurement managing contract development, contract management, and contract negotiations more than $20M annually.

  • Optimize transportation activity within SCE space and between integrated suppliers while minimizing variable and fixed costs.

  • Support Emergency Management activities, programs, and scheduled duty.

  • Work on continuous improvement programs and support corporate strategies and goals.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on trucking operations and systems, vehicle regulations and specifications, and federal and state compliance and hours of service requirements.


The essentials

  • Five or more years of experience managing or supervising an organization, unit, or team within the logistics industry (transportation operations, warehousing, materials management, and compliance).

  • Five years of experience managing multiple work groups providing various Logistic services across multiple locations.

  • Flexibility to work on short notice, travel, and work in the field support emergent requests 24 hours per day.

The preferred

  • BA or BS degree or higher in related discipline.

  • Experience developing and implementing short-term and long-term logistics and transportation strategies.

  • Demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

  • Knowledge or experience with trucking and dispatch operations, transportation equipment, and regulations.

  • Experience leading a represented workforce.

  • Experience working and/or managing in a utility environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiating skills and ability to work in a cross functional environment.

  • Ability to accurately analyze information and make strategic decisions that have cross-organizational impact.

  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage team members and direct reports by evaluating employee performance and making personnel decisions.

  • Ability to follow Edison Safety protocols and principals and be personally engaged as a safety leader.

  • Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning environment.
