Become a PSPS Incident Lead at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will support the PSPS Wildfire Response program and be responsible for development and implementation of PSPS programs, processes and procedures to comply with current, pending and future regulatory requirements as well as to support continuous improvement of existing operational capabilities. This position will also activate with the PSPS Incident Management Team to provide guidance and direction in use of emergency response processes, technologies, and equipment to help ensure the safety of our customers and communities during PSPS events. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine brightly!

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to support the development and implementation of blue-sky and in-event PSPS and wildfire related programs and initiatives.

  • Provide project oversight and support to cross functional teams across the dedicated IMT to establish processes, procedures, and operational enhancements in compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Lead response to PSPS activations by providing guidance and direction in use of emergency response processes, technologies, and equipment. This includes ensuring compliant implementation of the Incident Command System (ICS), supporting all situational awareness and staffing resource needs for the IMT and assisting the Business Resiliency Duty Manager (BRDM) by coordinating with emergency management officials.

  • Support the PSPS leadership team by coordinating with the dedicated PSPS IMT to develop meeting content and materials for internal and external engagement (working groups, advisory boards, executive decision forums, etc.)

  • Lead and support cross functional efforts to address regulatory proceedings and data requests.

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Ten years of experience leading cross functional program or project teams.

  • Five years of experience responding to complex emergencies with significant operational, financial and reputational impacts.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in management or technical field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • In depth working knowledge of PSPS requirements and experience working in PSPS related positions.

  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Project Management Certification

  • Certified in ICS 300 and 400

  • Certified Emergency Manager
