In this job, you’ll use your strategic thinking and subject matter expertise to design, develop, and implement executive compensation programs, policies, and processes for executives at Edison International and its subsidiaries, including SCE. You will work closely with senior management as you manage the annual compensation planning process and provide expert advice on other executive compensation matters. You'll also prepare detailed compensation data and analysis for proxy statements, state regulatory disclosures, and compensation committee meetings. Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains cost-effective executive compensation and benefit plans and programs based on competitive practices, regulatory directives and company principles.

  • Defines the compensation philosophy, designing and managing executive compensation programs, and leading market surveys and analysis, overseeing the effectiveness and execution of overall global rewards strategy, equity programs and associated policies/plans.

  • Develops equity budgeting approach, provides modeling, and monitors and forecasts equity usage including burn rate and other dilution analyses.

  • Manages the day-to-day relationships with external vendors, including compensation consultants and legal advisors, to support the design and administration of executive compensation programs.

  • Manages executive compensation programs, including base salary and equity-based compensation plans for senior leaders.

  • Provides support through analysis and solution development for Edison's long germ incentive compensation program for the members of the company's board of directors and all applicable executive level positions.

  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of compliant, equitable and competitive executive compensation, supporting the design and implementation of comprehensive compensation strategies for senior leaders.

  • Manages the annual compensation review, new hire, and separation-related compensation processes for executives.

  • Provides expert guidance and advice to senior leadership on executive compensation matters, including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, and executive benefits.

  • Prepares and presents executive compensation recommendations, analyses, and proposals to senior leadership.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor and resource to executives, HR partners, and other stakeholders on executive compensation-related matters.

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of combined experience in compensation and/or executive compensation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience leading projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the scope and/or resources, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, reporting of project performance and results delivery.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

  • Experience with the SuccessFactors (SF) human capital management suite, including annual planning using the SF software or a similar online tool.

  • Advanced Excel skills

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
