In this job you will be responsible for the implementation of a Supply Chain Transportation and Warehouse Strategy specifically relating to reducing overall transportation and handling expense by focusing on key performance metrics, route/load optimization, resource planning, and contractor management. This position will lead optimizing efficiencies and project managing a wide array of requests while interfacing with key stakeholders in Supply Chain, Procurement, Transportation Services, and Corporate Real Estate as it relates to Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory, and Capacity planning.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Leads projects with internal and external stakeholders to implement Transportation and Warehousing Strategies within Supply Chain, including strategic 5-7 years planning & forecasting methodologies supporting electrification, sustainability, and affordability strategy.

  • Builds strategic relationships and collaboration with internal/external senior and executive leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with SCE General Rate Case (GRC) budgets, goals, and objectives.

  • Introduce advanced technologies/methodologies relating to reducing overall transportation and handling expense by focusing on key performance metrics, route/load optimization, resource planning, and contractor management.

  • Performs in-depth analysis in order to build and implement a Supply Chain Transportation and Warehouse Strategy based on forecasts, historical demand and spend, and OE Catalyst process improvement expectations.

  • Works in collaboration with Supply Chain personnel in the implementation of a strategy that minimizes spend ($34M annual spend in labor and contractors) while identifying, addressing, and optimizing efficiencies.


The essentials

  • Ten years of experience with supporting and/or developing Supply Chain strategy, data analysis, performance metrics, benchmarking industry best practices, data reporting, ordata evaluation.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Business Administration (Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or related field) or a combination of training and/or experience

  • Experience with re-engineering business processes

  • Experience designing, developing, advancing and/or evaluating broad scope Supply Chain initiatives that have significant impact.

  • Experience functioning as an influencer and lead advisor for high level projects, budgets, and deliverables

  • Lean Six Sigma Training (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)

  • Experience developing Supply Chain strategies (transportation and warehouse)

  • 10 years’ experience functioning as an influencer and lead advisor for executive level programs, budgets and deliverables

  • Knowledge or experience in supporting a Supply Chain transformation

  • Experience developing communications/presentations for executive level audiences

  • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
