Enbridge has an exciting opportunity for you! Due to an expansion at the Ingleside Terminal, we are growing our team.

As a DCS Operator, you are responsible for the monitoring and controlling the movement of product through facility pipelines, analyzing changing conditions and alarms and making necessary adjustments, monitoring system integrity to maximize safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service.

What you will do:

  • Maintain protection of the environment, health, and safety of our employees, customers, and the

communities in which we operate and/or transport of our products as our highest priority.

  • Control the movement of material through pipelines within the facility via Delta V using automated/manual valves and pumps.

  • Monitor pressure, temperature and volume using Delta V system to ensure safe receipt and delivery of volumes.

  • Analyze and take appropriate action to all Delta V alarms as per EIEC operating procedures.

  • Maintain continuous vigilance of all inbound pipelines, tank levels, and safe delivery to vessels.

  • Monitor terminal system performance and notify operations when maintenance and/or repairs are needed.

  • Ability to move from task to task fluently, stay organized and prioritize tasks/daily work.

  • Provides advanced notification to shipper control rooms when deviations from scheduled movements are expected or have occurred.

  • Ensure strong communications between all work groups during daily operations and at shift change.

  • Interfaces in a professional manner with internal and external customers through verbal, written, and interpersonal communications.

  • Ensure all spreadsheets and record keeping are completed and kept up to date.

  • Adhere to EIEC procedures and processes.

  • Attend mandatory meetings as required.

You have:

  • A high School Diploma or completed GED;

  • 2 years relevant work experience (e.g. production, loading, or unit maintenance);

  • Proficiency in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and

problem solving skills;

  • The ability to work a rotating shift; weekends; holidays; overtime; and respond to callouts;

You can:

  • Show proof of a high School Diploma or completed GED;

  • Demonstrate 2 years of relevant work experience (e.g. production, loading, or unit maintenance);

  • Demonstrate proficiency in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and

problem solving skills;

  • Demonstrate the ability to work a rotating shift; weekends; holidays; overtime; and respond to callouts;

You are:

  • Someone with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team;

  • Able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms;

  • Can successfully obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) as required by the

  • Transportation Security Administration at the start of employment


  • Process Technology Degree

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in typical office environment. Dynamic, high-pressure work environment requiring the identification and resolution of critical operational problems within extremely short time constraints. Employee must have the ability to remain calm and focused during an emergency to perform all job duties. The initial training work schedule will provide for 48-hours per week (day or night shift) and develop into a rotating 12-hour shift. Holiday and overtime work as necessary are also required. The noise level in the environment is low.
