Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting technical, leadership and administrative talent for all Premier Power Maintenance locations. This role is responsible for recruiting processes, college and military engagement, and also provides support within the HR department as needed.

Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain the processes for recruiting technical, management, and administrative talent for multi-state service company

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to review resumes, select candidates for interviews, participate in interviews, and give feedback regarding candidate selection

  • Create offer letters and all other documents related to candidate selection

  • Create, audit, and update job descriptions

  • Identify new markets to recruit external candidates; utilize social and professional networking and other sources to locate potential candidates

  • Through partnership with Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD), reach out and collaborate with energy-focused colleges to align curriculum with Premier’s entry-level required skill set. Collaborate with Troops to Energy to recruit military veterans

  • Regularly attend job fairs as the face and representative of Premier

  • Participate in delivering New Hire Orientation program

  • Organize and conduct 30-60-90-day check-ins with new hires and report feedback with suggested improvements

  • Ensure drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment physicals are completed for new hires with satisfactory results through our third party administrator

  • Promote the corporate team member referral program

  • Work with management to develop and maintain company website, social media initiatives, marketing material, as it relates to recruiting and brand awareness in the job market

  • Manage candidate tracking system to post positions, track and communicate with candidates, and coordinate workflow with hiring managers

  • Prepare HR analytic reports for management to evaluate recruiting effectiveness (i.e. sourcing, time to hire, demographics, attrition vs. total hires, etc.)

  • Act as a single point of contact for hiring managers regarding recruiting topics

  • Design and implement recruitment training for hiring managers

  • Partner with various recruiting job boards, social media platforms, recruiting agencies, to post open positions attracting targeted candidates, and build and effective talent pipeline

  • Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements related to recruiting by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

  • Collaborate with Training Services Manager to maintain and continuously improve Premier’s Co-Op program.

  • Assist Director of HR with development and management of Diversity and Inclusion program to create a diverse talent pipeline

  • Create and maintain a social media presence appealing to Premier’s targeted audience

  • Participate in coordinating team building activities and community outreach initiatives company wide

  • Provide additional human resources support as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines

  • Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement

  • Must have intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information.

  • Experience with recruiting social media sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, and CareerBuilder

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience required, field service industry preferred

  • Experience supporting all positions within an organization from entry level to executive staff

  • Proven track record of partnering with hiring managers regarding the recruiting process, hiring needs and forecasting future needs

Work Environment:

  • This position is located at our Corporate Office, Indianapolis, IN

  • Travel – Light to Moderate; overnight travel is required at a minimum of once a quarter
