Protection & Controls Sales Coordinator Job Summary:This position is at the forefront of representing the Protection & Control Division of Premier Power Maintenance in a professional, caring and customer focused role. Primary duties of the role are the sales coordination, account management and new business development within the division. The successful candidate understands that in most cases, they are the primary contact and interface with the company. How they respond and communicate with the customer is of utmost importance. Representing the brand with passion, professionalism, integrity, knowledge and understanding customer needs will be the cornerstones of success for both short- and long-term goals.
Makes sales calls and interacts, primarily on the phone and occasionally in person, and other means to both new and existing customers as required
Assists regional sales teams to proactively increase P&C new business and expand business with existing customers
Coordinates with the sales team, P&C Supervisors, and customers to develop project proposals and quotes based on customer requests, including collecting customer information, proposals development/writing, documentation of scope, and solution research/investigations
Makes sales calls and interacts, primarily on the phone and occassionally in person, and other means to both new and existing customers as required
Handles multiple customer inquiries simultaneously
Develops and maintains a high level of rapport with customers to build and foster trust
Provides customer support and assist in resolving customer issues
Secures market level pricing feedback from customers
Partners with Operations to coordinate project mobilization and execution
Partners with Operations to assist management with existing projects including financial tracking and the development of change orders
Ensures that materials, tools, manpower and equipment are scheduled to meet project deadlines
Assists in the management and tracking of test equipment and other vital company assets
Participates in bi-weekly meetings with the Sales and Operations teams to discuss potential or existing issues as well as opportunities for improvement
Participates in safety meetings and trainings
Promotes the company’s culture as a great place to work for all team members
Protects Premier’s integrity and value by keeping information confidential as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for Protection & Controls Sales Coordinator:
Knowledge of the sales process, and long term customer development. Understands the concept of what “the Customer Experience” is and works to exceed expectations
Read and interpret request for proposals, testing standards, regulatory policies, manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams in order to develop comprehensive and accurate pricing
Basic knowledge of electrical generation, transmission, and distribution systems and industries
Knowledge of the Protection and Control Industry including NERC and FERC requirements is a plus
Experience in electrical or construction project management, including the ability to layout projects and generate value engineering proposals for various projects
Excellent attention to detail
Capable of working independently with passion, industry knowledge, focus, and integrity
Strong negotiation skills including the ability to communicate on all levels with internal and external groups
Ability to organize, prioritize, plan their personal work, review their accomplishments, successes, deficiencies, adjust as necessary, and meet customer goals, personal goals, and deadlines
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines
Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using project scheduling, management, and accounting software is a plus
Communicates effectively, in writing and verbally, with customers, peers, and management
Must live within 60 miles of the Indianapolis, IN Corporate office
Corporate business hours are 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
Must be willing to take calls, work on proposals, assist customers, give technical advice and travel outside the scope of normal business hours. Up to 10% travel may be required
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to obtain a NFPA 70-E and CPR training
Education and Work Experience for Protection & Controls Sales Coordinator:
Knowledge of specialized equipment and diagnostic test techniques for commissioning and acceptance testing is preferred but not required
An Associate degree in a technical field, business, management or a related field, electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology is preferred
In lieu of a degree, 2 to 4 years of project management experience in the electrical contractor / utility market will be considered
