Digital Workplace Software Asset Manager
The Digital Workplace Software Asset Manager is responsible for the overseeing the end-to-end process of software technology assets. The Asset Manager will support the Global Workplace Asset Management organization in performing day-to-day operations related to enterprise asset repository management for software assets.
Collaborates with business partners, digital peers, and other departments to provide endpoint software; own processes for software license compliancy; and finance and internal audit requirements.
Oversee Software Asset Management (SAM) inventory and compliance standard methodologies for license modeling, entitlement reconciliation, license optimization and software utilization
Collaborate on roadmap, strategy, objectives, and metrics to measure success
Contribute to the development of and champion ITAM and CMBD strategies, policies and practices to optimize cost, minimize risk and provide value
Create and maintain software asset management reports
Develop and maintain data quality expectations, SLAs, and monitoring requirements
Coordinate with Cyber Security and Digital PMO for software reviews and approvals
Analyze and create reports including software compliance, inventory, and financial data
Coordinate responses to software license compliance audits or license validation requests
Implement processes to support efficient maintenance renewals
Responsible for ensuring SAM assets and related maintenance details are accurately maintained in AMDB
Continuously identify ITAM optimization and remediation activities
Monitor and analyze spending trends and inventory control and identify areas for potential savings
Conduct inventory audits and develop supporting processes and procedures
Education / Experience (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology / Computer Science/Engineering) preferred or equivalent with relevant work experience required.
3+ years IT Asset management experience to include:
Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management
Working knowledge of ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) including Hardware, Software Asset Management, CMDB and Discovery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills (Excel, PowerBI)
Experience overseeing and working with software vendors
Strong knowledge of endpoint software and hardware
Proven ability and experience in performing strategic asset management processes successfully
Profound knowledge of licensing agreements including desktop software such as Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, and CAD
Ability to self-direct, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and demands in a busy environment
Lean practitioner certifications or training, as well as applicable experience in Continuous Improvement
ITIL or Agile practitioner
Demonstrated experience with system Knowledge of digital support tools such as Service Now, SCCM, and Intune
