Intern opportunity available for the Summer of 2025 with the AES Indiana Substation Engineering team. This position will provide the Intern with engineering experience as it relates to substation design and system protection.
The Substation Engineering Interns will work as a team along with staff engineers to facilitate substation engineering analysis and design work related to system protection and substation infrastructure. The substation engineering department is tasked with the design of substation facilities and relay protection of all equipment on AES Indiana transmission and distribution systems. Substation Interns will be assigned project work designed to offer valuable engineering experience, and to assist staff engineers with their substation projects.
Qualifications * *
A studentpursuing a four-yeardegree in Electrical/MechanicalEngineeringorElectrical/MechanicalEngineeringTechnology.
Anacademic standing ofSophomorestatusorhigherispreferred. Additionalconsiderationwill be givento candidates with a strongacademicbackground, exceptionalattentiontodetail, and organization and presentationskills.
A proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs - especially Excel and Word - alsoispreferred.
The Intern may be expected to complete additional assignments as determined by their supervisor.
