Position Summary:
The successful candidate will lead a team of 12 to 15 technicians and will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operations and/or maintenance of large natural gas power plants ranging from 225 MW to 675 MW. Responsibilities:•Ability to support 24 x 7 plant Operations and Maintenance•Provides leadership, coaching, counseling, advising, and teaching of others through day-to-day support of team members•Monitors and tracks plant performance via KPIs, Financial results, EtaPro/PI and APM•Continuous improvement of plant processes via APEX and problem solving•Maintains Regulatory compliance with CPUC GO-167, CEC, NERC, ISO and AQMD
Requirements:
•Supports and works in partnership with the other O&M Teams
•Coordinates with the Scheduling Coordinator and the Commercial Team to optimize unit testing and outages
•Develops and maintains operating and emergency procedures•Ensures continuous training and qualification of O&M Personnel
•Supports Planning, Maintenance, Operation and Procurement Teams to schedule corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance within the Asset Management program
Compliance with SMS and EMS Standards to support day to day and long-term business goals
Qualifications:
•Must be motivated, self-driven and results oriented with a focus on high quality outcomes and business success
•Minimum of 5 years experience in Power Plant Operations, Maintenance or Engineering•Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a safe workplace
•Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders
•Proven ability to develop and mentor others
•Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
•CMMS/SAP experience; MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
•Proficient with budgeting, forecasting and cost management
•Understanding of mechanical, instrumentation and electrical systems for maintenance and repair of rotating equipment, CT/ST, HRSG, boilers, boiler related and auxiliary equipment
•Familiar with a proactive approach to Maintenance Management and knowledgeable in Best Practices specific to predictive and preventative maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and condition-based monitoring techniques
•Contractor Management / Project Management Skills•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred, but not required

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $110,000 and $137,700/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
