What you will do:
Supervises the tax compliance of all state tax returns, including composite returns filed on behalf of non-resident partners
Organizing, assigning, delegating, and coordinating the work of the tax staff to ensure department and state deadlines are met timely and accurately
Coordinates the preparation of state and local tax forms and schedules
Review of state tax apportionment across all entities
Review of unitary and combined state and local tax returns
Manage’s Enbridge’s state and local income tax audits
Ensuring Enbridge’s compliance with state and local governmental tax laws and regulations.
Facilitating and managing the payment of partners’ composite return liabilities and non-resident withholding
Researching U.S. federal, state, and local tax issues using BNA and Checkpoint, including identification of issues impacting the Company
Prepare the quarterly compliance memo based on law changes for all the state Enbridge operates
Prepare the quarterly FIN48 & FAS5 contingency schedules and compute the associated interest expense
Assisting with liaising with all areas of the Company w to develop efficient procedures and satisfy various department needs
Participates in recognizing and implementing new processes and technology to streamline current processes.
Look after the preparation of internal state income and franchise tax budgets and forecasts.
Assists tax research and planning in modeling transactions.
Assists in the state effective tax rate computations used in provision process, state tax true ups and federal tax true ups, ensuring proper workflow and due dates are met.
Prepares state income and franchise tax calculations needed for FERC compliance (including tax disclosure associated with FERC Form 2 and FERC Form 6, as well as tax support in rate cases)
Developing and mentoring the Tax Analysts and Senior Tax Analysts and leading them in their professional development endeavors
Quantify impact of developments in tax legislation and communicate results appropriately
Assist in other non-specific tax activities as needed
Who you are :
You have:
A University graduate of business administration or a related field
7+ years of progressively responsible experience in income tax preferably within the energy industry
You can:
Offer prior experience and knowledge of federal and state income tax
Show strong digital literacy and proficiency with Word and Excel
You are:
Experienced and understand tax accounting while possessing strong analytical skills
An excellent written and verbal communicator
The following are considered assets:
CPA designation or graduate degree
Solid understanding of CorpTax, OneSource, tax research tools, and PowerTax/BNA/OFA fixed asset software’s

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
