Senior Specialist, Energy Efficiency - CEH02907

Center Point Energy is looking for a Senior Specialist, Energy Efficiency to join our Team , located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to: Formulate, plan and implement energy efficiency programs per mandated PUCT rules by attracting, expanding and retaining industry stakeholders for program participation. Work with community, industry and local government leaders to promote programs that attract new participants and expand existing program opportunities within the service territory. Responds to program development inquiries by program sponsors and municipal/institutional participants with technical data presentations on the companies’ program resources.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Design, develops and implements specific targeted energy efficiency and load management programs.

  • Manage program budgets and identify and maintain resources necessary to achieve efficiency measures.

  • Manage all activities around program marketing and oversees all customer activities.

  • Administer database of all contracts necessary to implement energy efficiency program payments.

  • Review all contractor work and approving contractors.

  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with key industry partnerships such as Retail Electric

  • Provider (REPs), equipment suppliers and other TDUs.

  • Perform necessary short and long term strategic planning and scheduling to ensure achievement of market specific energy efficiency goals.

  • Negotiate and maintain contracts which support implementation of programs.

  • Manage selected program third party contractors/consultants.

  • Establish and maintain program measurement and verification procedures and ensures contractors and program participants are in compliance with them.

  • Provide regulatory support regarding energy efficiency program design and implementation activities

  • Obtain Certified Energy Manager (CEM) rating or Professional Engineer license.

Your background includes:

  • Bachelor's in business, marketing, engineering, or related field in project management or energy management.

  • Requires a minimum of four years experience in energy utilization, energy efficiency, energy management, project management, marketing, economics, business, or engineering design.
