Quanta Services Organizational Development Manager in Houston, Texas


The Organizational Development Manager plans, develops, implements, and administers development and training programs for the Executive Management Team of Quanta. This position is responsible for all succession planning at the organization and for the creation and execution for the development plans. The manager also acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates initiatives across the organization.


  • Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development for the Executive Development program to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.

  • Administers the succession planning program for all executives at the organization. This includes both Corporate and Operation Unit executives.

  • Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.

  • Designs and develops HR training programs for management.

  • Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans and facilitates learning programs through outside vendors, ensuring that they align with Quanta’s business goals and objectives.

  • Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments and executes action plans from the data.

  • Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.

  • Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.

  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Education and Experience:

Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.

Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business from accredited school and 7 + years of relevant experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree in HR


  • CPLP credential, preferred.

  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.

  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
