Quanta Services Manager, Accounting Systems & Security in Houston, Texas



As a member of the Accounting Processes and Controls (“APC”) team, you will work closely with leaders and stakeholders across Quanta and its operating units to achieve a control environment that enhances and protects organizational value. You will advise and consult with corporate departments and operating unit CFOs and Controllers on their current accounting processes, including segregation of duties, present and educate on control impact of new or modified accounting processes and serve as a liaison between operating units and internal or external auditors. You will integrate newly acquired companies into the Quanta environment, evaluate existing and implement new financial applications.


SCOPE:Corporate and Operating Units


  • Align multiple stakeholders on issues or opportunities, collaborate with teams to identify appropriate solutions and to identify next steps, specifically in response to potential system risks of financial applications that may impact segregation of duties (“SOD”)

  • Advise and support operating units (including newly acquired companies) with process improvement, complex transactions and remediation activities, ensuring mitigating activities are appropriate

  • High proclivity for learning financial systems

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop, design and test functional and data security roles, table restrictions and other control solutions specific for operating units, as applicable

  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical owners simply and holistically



Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Management Information Systems;

  • Minimum 5 years public accounting experience or 8 years relevant experience focused on ERP application and security controls implementation/management;

  • Direct experience in successfully meeting audit requirements including Sarbanes Oxley, general IT and SOD controls, and data privacy requirements and regulations

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with a variety of ERP applications, including but not limited to JDE Enterprise One (v.9.0) application security models and tools (ie. design and administration of JDE end user security, security roles, table restrictions and menus)

  • Experience with SOD management and compliance tools, specifically QSoftware

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills;

  • Experience with variety of ERP applications, a plus.
