As a Lead Optimization & Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the PM&L organization to identify and drive efficiencies, value and consistency in processes. In this lead role, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing a governance framework for policies, processes, and business practices to support commercial and operational objectives; overseeing SOX and other compliance activities; periodically updating and training coworkers on policies and procedures, and building on our analytics, reporting and KPI dashboard efforts. Working in collaboration with all PM&L departments, responsibilities will also include building and strengthening their own technical and soft skills as well as other PM&L team members.

To be successful in this role you will:

Governance and Compliance - Lead the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage spend & assets across the company.

  • SOX/CIP Compliance

  • Perform and oversea execution of SOX activities as Control Owner or Control Tester

  • Provide guidance and support for NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards in accordance with CIP-013 Requirement R1

  • Support company SOX compliance with identifying, designing, and/or reviewing controls

  • Policy Development and Compliance

  • Review and update as necessary PM&L policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency

  • Drives the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices and assists in setting annual operational targets and help drive improvements to achieve those targets

  • Provides superior customer service to all company personnel to reinforce policy compliance

  • Supplier Relationship Management Program

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, to develop and implement a supplier relationship management program

  • Establish clear role SRM definitions for internal stakeholders (procurement and business owners) and tiering methodology for vendors

  • Support SRM business review meetings with internal stakeholders and key vendors through aiding in collection of data needs including but not limited to value realization, contractual agreements, supplier performance & capabilities metrics, and improvement opportunities.

  • Vendor Risk Management and Audits

  • Lead and oversea the annual evaluation of third-party risk criteria.

  • Perform periodic vendor risk assessments for key suppliers.

  • Collaborate with risk category owners to drive results in vendor risk assessment outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Responsible for leading a variety of Supply Chain Management continuous improvement projects. These projects include, but are not limited to cost reduction initiatives, inventory optimization, and system implementations/upgrades/patches.

  • Identify and enhance process efficiency: Assess supply chain processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and formulate strategies to eliminate waste.

  • Create, maintain and develop strong working relationships with PM&L team members to support cost savings, quality, and delivery targets are met.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement strategy creation and deployment across PM&L as well as with strategic suppliers.

  • Implement best practices in PM&L management to support commercial and operational objectives.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Provide PM&L Management with value added reporting, scorecards, and detailed analysis.

  • Automate manual reporting activities by utilizing visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).

  • Conduct market research and data analysis to support Procurement Category Management strategies

  • Ability to work with large data sets to perform empirical analysis

Your background includes:

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

  • Requires minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, warehouse, materials management, audit, finance, business process re-engineering and/or compliance-based roles.

  • Analytics experience related to evaluation and optimization of business processes

  • Experience in delivering enterprise and organizational cost improvement / transformation strategies / business process re-engineering

  • Proven track record of leading projects and strategic initiatives
