Summary

Spire is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support Spire Marketing and Gas Supply. This position will be responsible for providing support and guidance to team members in the evaluation of requirements, test case development, execute detailed testing, and regression testing. The Senior Business Analyst, ETRM, will support the Spire Back Office, Gas Supply and Marketing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thorough knowledge of business processes in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Understand the Endur Back Office and Mid Office modules and processes.

  • Provide ad-hoc risk analysis around complex transactions put forward by the Front Office.

  • Assist IT representative for updating ETRM related applications and processes.

  • Perform positive and negative testing for solutions prior to releasing and assist with the user acceptance testing.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new features as needed to support business goals.

  • Write documentation to describe program development, processes, and corrections.

  • Proactively work with ETRM vendor to maintain health of the ETRM environments, create support requests, as needed, for defects, upgrades, etc.

  • Perform testing of patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.

  • Practice effective organizational and analytical skills.

  • Update and maintain internal business-related documentation.

Essential Characteristics and Competencies

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • 8+ years of experience supporting ETRM systems

  • 7+ years' experience within the commodity trading/marketing industry.

  • 7+ years of experience supporting Endur Accounting and Settlement teams

  • 7+ years of Systems Analysis experience

  • 7+ years of project related experience

  • 7+ years of Endur experience, including design, configuring and troubleshooting

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Endur Mid Office teams

  • Strong Knowledge of Natural Gas markets

  • Experience with Endur architecture (front, middle, and back office modules)

  • Experience working with SQL

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Work Environment: Hybrid. Work is normally performed remote and in a shared office environment.

  • Working Hours: Typically, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required to meet strict deadlines

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
