Quanta Services Director, Environmental, Social and Governance in Houston, Texas
This role will focus on researching, maintaining, developing, and executing, a variety of sustainability and ESG programs across the organization, including annual ESG reporting. This role will report to the Vice President, Investor Relations and will work closely with senior leaders at corporate and operating units, as well as department heads, customers and other business partners to gather information and advance Quanta’s corporate sustainability practices and employee engagement on sustainability.
The position will broadly support all Corporate Responsibility/ESG programs, though will focus on three primary categories of work:
1.) Play an integral role in the development of the company’s ESG strategy, overseeing ESG trends research, data, reporting, and organizational oversight.
2.) Participate in the growth and maintenance of various operational sustainability programs focused on health and safety and fleet and service-mix environmental initiatives.
3) Liaising with ESG rating agencies and staying abreast of ESG reporting framework developments and best practices.
Leads day-to-day projects and activities supporting sustainability reporting and participates in investor outreach programs. Manages, influences and builds support for cross-divisional ESG efforts.
Plans, develops and manages the company’s ESG reports and other disclosures, outlining ESG-related efforts and results in alignment with broader public disclosure practices.
Leads the development and production of Quanta’s Corporate Responsibility Report and annual report and helps develop additional or expanded reporting as appropriate.
Builds working relationships with key partners across the firm and businesses including the functional support areas such as environmental, health and safety (EHS), operations, supply chain management, human resources, legal, etc.
Leverages and/or develops website and other digital platforms to capture and share ESG related results and updates throughout the organization.
Develops and tracks metrics for sustainability reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Tracks emerging and developing ESG practices at peer firms and in the marketplace ensuring company activities are relevant and aligned with trends in the external environment.
Gathers, analyzes and interprets ESG-related data and where possible benchmarks against peers.
Understands, identifies and monitors ESG issues in the industry that could affect our business and keeps abreast of industry standards, best practices and regulatory trends.
Understands and incorporates the ESG eco-system of reporting frameworks and communication tools into reports, operating procedures and communication standards.
Reviews and verifies third-party ESG data provider reports.
Prepares materials for Board of Director and Committee meetings on ESG and general corporate governance matters.
Performs other related activities and provides support as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with corporate sustainability roles in the industrials, utility, renewable energy or traditional energy industries, with background/experience in communications, marketing and/or finance.
Demonstrated knowledge of ESG/sustainability and corporate governance, including an in depth understanding of global standards related to ESG reporting such as GRI, UNSDG, CDP, PRI, TCFD and SASB.
