About this Role

The Commercial Operations Executive for Quanta South Region will develop a strategic roadmap for major electricity and gas markets in Texas. This role involves identifying core business areas and expansion opportunities based on Quanta Services’ capabilities. You'll collaborate with regional and operating company leaders to enhance business through sustainable customer, service, and operational partnerships.

Key responsibilities include solving problems for both customers and operating units (OpU's), working externally with customers and internally with OpU's to drive business improvements. You will prioritize safety and quality in all operations, strengthen connections with operating companies, address customer needs, lead early engagement in project planning, and simplify the customer experience with efficient solutions. You'll also contribute to strong operational and financial results and ensure a positive overall experience for Quanta Services customers.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment. Leadership abilities, a commitment to safety and quality, and effective communication skills are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage relationships, sales, marketing efforts, customer service, and client advocacy.

  • Develop, track, and manage opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, solution discussions, RFP influencing, proposal support, agreement processing, and initial coordination.

  • Initiate and lead the commercial excellence process, collaborating with the Quanta South Region President, Operating Company Presidents, Local Operating Company Managers and Leaders, Proposal Writers, and Estimating teams.

  • Communicate with potential customers and decision-makers at major electricity and gas companies.

  • Develop strong relationships with existing and potential clients and business partners, maintaining frequent contact to ensure customer loyalty.

  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows, conferences, workshops, and other events to network, learn, and promote customer relationships.

  • Set the strategy and review content for proposals, project profiles, resumes, marketing materials, and other business communications.

  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing marketing strategies or campaigns that align with business targets.

  • Contribute to developing a growth strategy focused on achieving financial targets and customer satisfaction; create account plans and goals aligned with business objectives and share them with internal stakeholders.

  • Facilitate and direct Quanta's response to storms, emergencies, or natural disasters.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Over 8 years of relevant experience

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships within both the customer's and Quanta’s organizations

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Salesforce, and Acrobat
