National Grid Senior Analyst, Service Operations in Hicksville, New York

The Cloud Financial Analyst has overall responsibility for ensuring Cloud Services are accurately monitored and recovered financially.
Ownership of Cloud Service Consumption data
Data extraction, refinement and analysis of requirements
Monthly updates to Master Tracker Report & Tableau dashboard
Facilitate monthly cadence call amongst RTB stakeholders
Ownership of box repository and collaboration effort
Monthly cadence artifacts
Global Azure Tracking Doc
Coordinate touchpoints with project leads to obtain approvals, updates and/or status changes as well as address any concerns present
Custom consumption report for each project work stream or business function across the US and UK
Details charge items across specific efforts
Validates associated charges for area
Provides insight and information on all resources in association
Devise and construct estimates as needed as well as maintain a standard estimate process
Key Accountabilities continued
Assess and manage CHDC financial intake process
Review and validation of Azure & Oracle Cloud Invoices, plus others as they come into operation
Review validation of IBM IMI invoices
Raise discrepancies and charge disputes via the proper channels to achieve a timely resolution
Facilitate quarterly cadence with IT Finance to review budget and forecast and restructure as needed (RTB) so that cloud finances are accounted for and covered; Subscription and account management
Sandbox consumption governance and Access Management; Monthly consumption analysis and cost reduction activities where applicable
Azure benefits offering discussions/effort;
Monthly touchpoint with Cloud Lead to review spend, trend and any apparent anomalies or unknown resources present across the landscape
Gather and record all necessary accounting requirements pertaining to new provisioning efforts; Regular updates to the Monthly IBM IMI Tracker
Interface with Invoice Validation Team to receipt for Invoices and process payment
Address any accounting/cloud billing inquiries as needed (ad-hoc); Management and Ownership of Turbonomic platform
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Exceptional leadership communication, partnership building and executive presence;Strong business acumen and customer focus
Strong influencing, program and change management skills;Prior experience in implementation of hybrid cloud virtual data centre utilizing both public and private clouds.
Technology experience with some of the following: Azure, AWS, VMWare, Cisco ACI;Experience with the ITIL operations framework; experience creating a new organisation.
Experience defining the vision and building the plan to implement.
Experience in orchestration, automation and optimization of servers, storage, virtualization, high-availability, backup and disaster recovery.
Experience with infrastructure technology on a global level;Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
Consistently makes timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
Continuous improvement attitude;Curiosity for learning and staying on top of the latest trends and value of technology
