Job Summary
The successful Senior Marketing Coordinator will see challenges as opportunities. This person will take all the tools in their marketing arsenal, and discern the right solution to achieve the prescribed objectives – program participation, customer awareness, excellent customer experience and KPIs.
This candidate will bring enthusiasm to the execution of mass media advertising, email, direct mail, newsletters/bill inserts, collateral, website and social media campaigns. They will enhance customer satisfaction through the development and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives. They will focus on driving customer awareness and participation of energy efficiency programs, billing and payment options, technology, and numerous other areas through the creation and implementation of marketing promotions. They will seek to develop and maintain consistent messaging across all channels to support both the local and corporate brand.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess natural curiosity, diplomatic interpersonal skills, strong communications, engaging presentation skills and a data-driven approach to all that the role entails.

Accountabilities
• Partner with the agency of record on the development of campaign creative, execution, and performance measurement against established KPIs and industry benchmarks
• Develop and implement marketing campaigns to drive customer participation in program offerings, and increase customer satisfaction.
o Leverage customer data and research to develop customer communication initiatives
o Optimize channel mix for performance and budget efficiency
o Direct copywriters, designers, and email production agency to support brand awareness and program participation goals
o Monitor, measure and report out on campaign performance and results
o Track and manage invoices, reconcile project budgets
o Develop and manage timelines
• Support Energy Efficiency, Major Accounts, Economic Development, Community Partnerships and Customer Technology, business partners with communications and marketing initiatives
• Work with Customer Intelligence to develop customer profiles; propensity models, market segmentation opportunities, and strategies to increase JD Power Customer Satisfaction scores
• Partner with Corporate Communications, External and Government Affairs for messaging alignment.
• Develop productive working relationships with external stakeholders including the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), the Department of Public Service (DPS), plus local and state level government agencies.
• Attend webinars, conferences and workshops to seek out industry best practices and trends
• Assist in development of the Annual Marketing Plan
Job Specific Qualifications
Required
• BA / BS Marketing Degree and 7 years of recent experience in Marketing including email, direct mail and social and other digital media; in lieu of a degree, 11 years of recent experience in Marketing including email, direct mail and social and other digital media
• A minimum of 1 year recent experience working for an advertising agency
• Must have excellent communication skills and analytical skills
• Must demonstrate experience performing data analysis (evaluation of performance results) and formulating contextual insights
• Must have strong written communication and presentation skills
• Must demonstrate digital platform capabilities including accessing dashboards; formatting downloading and uploading files; SmartSheets, Caseworks, Engage, Sharepoint and similar programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency using Microsoft Teams, Skype and/or Zoom capability
• Experience working directly with marketing vendors
• Must demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to be a highly-productive team member in an autonomous, remote environment
