National Grid is hiring a Infrastructure Platform Owner for our IT team. This role can be based out of MA, NY, NJ, NH or Washington DC.

To be responsible for the provision of support, guidance and advice to those involved in the management of National Grid IS services, particularly decision support based upon analysis of system data and information. To ensure that customers’ interests and priorities are represented at all levels in order to enable business success.
Provide in-depth knowledge of business priorities, goals and regulatory obligations and how IS can enable and impact success.
Oversee the effective delivery of new and existing IS Service Level Agreements with our business areas. This includes the creation, monitoring and reporting of key business metrics to evaluate IS performance and improve service offering to our customers.
Monitor the level of customer satisfaction, at regular intervals or after each significant delivery of product or service.
Responds to customer’s queries and complaints and drives resolutions through an agreed organisational framework.
Ensures that, when necessary, corrective action is taken by the IS organisation and by the customer organisation.
Prepare/analyse data and information and recommend decisions based upon facts and the interests of our customers.
Work with customers, IS service owners and suppliers to resolve issues, mitigate risks and realise business and IS opportunities.
Represent customer interests at internal and external service review meetings, project boards and in the event of major IS incidents.

Experience with infrastructure services
Experience managing ‘IT as a Service’ with deep understanding of ITSM Framework
Experience interfacing with internal service providers in delivering services to the business
Experience with direct and third-party suppliers delivering services in onshore/offshore model
Enhancing and optimizing the infrastructure tool sets available in the Data Center, covering areas such as infrastructure monitoring, performance monitoring, detecting issues in real-time etc. Technical experience with tools such as vRealize Operations and Solarwinds would be advantageous
Manages dependencies, costs, risks, stability across the portfolio
Ability to influence, manage and lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated skills in relationship management, problem solving, infrastructure support and customer service
Technical experience in dealing with a broad range of products and technologies
Experience managing RTB and delivering year on year reductions
Strong management skills and a track record of operating in a complex environment delivering to numerous customers, interests, and goals, on-time and on-budget
Demonstrate competency in reporting with data skills, leveraging primarily the Power BI tool to create interactive reports and dashboards
$100,000 - $142,000 a year
