Position Specific Description

We're seeking certified Underground Cable Splicers to join us in the Sunshine State! This role offers competitive pay, full benefits including 401K with company match + PENSION, a signing bonus, and relocation assistance (for those who qualify)! We have multiple opportunities available, actual work location may vary across Florida * ( Positions may be based at any location throughout FPL's service territory in the state of Florida).

Qualified candidates must provide verifiable documentation, pass a technical phone interview and participate in a physical assessment .


  • Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval

  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience as a Certified Cable Splicer

  • Commercial Driver's License, Class A

  • Must have satisfactorily completed the FPL apprentice cable splicer or another equivalent recognized program

  • Must be physically able to perform all assigned tasks

  • Must be able to work in direct sunlight or at night


  • $10K sign on bonus

  • Up to $10,500.00 for relocation ( for those who qualify )

Job Overview

Cable Splicer will be expected to perform all associated tasks with the construction and maintenance of all underground facilities. Must be able to trouble shoot and repair all underground distribution circuits and equipment. Cable Splicer may work alone or be assigned to work with other Splicers or lower classifications without the direct supervision of a higher level classification. Will be expected to safely perform all distribution underground switching and overhead switching as needed. May be required to work in inclement weather for extended hours, may be required to travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms to restore the system. Will be responsible for all assigned work being done in accordance with all company design standards and work methods. Will be required to prepare all job associated paperwork.

Required Qualifications
