This position will be responsible for directly assisting the Security Director, as well as the Security Organization Leadership Team in formulating, prioritizing, and managing the organization's Strategic goals and objectives in pursuit of operational excellence. This specialist will participate in strategic collaboration meetings with Security Leadership, and be responsible for increasing a high level of knowledge with regard to security policies and regulatory requirements. In addition, this specialist will assist in the development and analysis of the Security Organization's performance indicators in order to understand operational strengths, performance gaps, and other opportunities for continuous improvement. The Security Operations Technical Specialist will also assist the Security Director in the documentation, tracking, and collaboration with PSEG Human Resources, Employee Relations, and/or Corporate Security on all sensitive personnel/performance matters, as well as lead all Director special projects and program initiatives. The diversity of this position enables a wide succession path to any Security Manager position within the Security Organization.
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. 10 years related experience. Must meet and maintain PSEG Nuclear's requirements for unescorted access. Requires demonstrated leadership ability, including at least 10 years in the military, law enforcement or nuclear security or operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and strong organizational development skills required.
DESIRED : Bachelor's degree in related science. Established relationships with NRC and/or other external constituencies. Previous budget experience. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
