Job Summary/Purpose:

Receive, pick, pack and ship material from distribution warehouse. Utilize powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks. Perform housekeeping as part of job function.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Accurately pick and pack material manually of up to 50 lbs. Utilize mechanical equipment for heavier material. Process material returned from the field.

Unload material, inspect for damage and accurately count to complete receiving process then put away in proper bin location.

Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick list to accurately locate and pull required material. Perform basic computer functions (entry, lookup, etc.).

Perform accurate inventory counts and problems solve to reconcile inventory differences.

Perform quality control checks on material picked by lower level material operators. Act as floor leader for lower level material operators by providing continuous training and problem solving. Participates, supports and complies with all health, safety, quality and lean initiatives and requirements. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Superintendent.

Minimum education required of the position:

High school degree or equivalent.

Minimum experience required of the position:

Operator, Material I - 1-2 years' stores experience or related work experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

Must be able to manually lift 50lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks. Demonstrate some knowledge of stores concepts and methods. Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Some problem solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies. Ability to document, track and coach other material operators on errors. Some knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:

Certification to operate powered industrial truck.
