Utility Service Clerk (Seasonal)
Wisconsin Public Service Corp , a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Seasonal Utility Service Clerks in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. These are seasonal positions that typically work full time hours during construction season (March - November).
Job Summary
A Seasonal Utility Service Clerk makes and receives company-wide residential and commercial customer contacts including but not limited to: new electric & gas service, removal, relocations & upgrades. This position provides efficient customer service by handling customer requests, maintaining operations communications, processing work requests, and maintaining records.
Job Responsibilities
Initiate and receive residential & commercial inquiries relating to application for service requests:
Handle application for new, remove, relocation and upgrade gas and electric service requests
Respond to customer inquiries received from multiple channels; call, email, fax, or mail
Make proactive “touch-point” contacts with contractors and customers
Communicate new, relocation and upgrade service information to customers & contractors
Follow company policy/procedures to capture all relevant customer information
Collect gas and electric load information for residential & commercial
Process residential & commercial work requests (new, remove, relocation and upgrade):
Create work requests orders for all new, remove, relocation and upgrade service requests
Process non-design work requests for new, remove, relocation & upgrades
Consider environmental impacts for non-design work requests
Initiate site visits to field personnel to determine design or non-design services
Release design work requests to field personnel
Use Automated Design tool to determine accounting, material, invoices, company and customer cost for non-design work requests
Obtain permits for non-design work requests
Process permit invoices
Complete appropriate forms for non-design construction crews
Perform as-built/reconciliation process, close work requests
Coordinate surface and lawn restoration work
Maintain records:
Process wiring inspections, wiring statements and, enter information into appropriate systems; file records
Coordinate & communicate the scheduling of work:
Manage customer ready date
Provide scheduling information to contractors and customers
Coordinate appointments with field personnel, contractors and customers
Create positive customer interactions:
Provide timely information to customers
Provide options and educate customers
Deliver quick turnaround time on requests
Use Customer Information System (Open-Cis) to add & maintain customer information:
Collect necessary information and positively identify new customers to our system
Enter customer name and address information in standardized format
Verify if same customers exist and link accounts as appropriate
Document and enter action taken into Customer Information System
Enter mailing address changes
Complete meter information after installation or removal to allow proper customer billing
May also perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
Minimum Experience Required
3 years customer service experience is required. Delivery of customer service and sales; including inbound/outbound calls.
Experience with computers, including window-based pc environment.
