The position works closely with many areas of the company developing and providing direction as to integrated natural gas supply and capacity strategies that meet the companies natural gas service obligations in an efficient and cost effective manner. The essential functions of this position include the following:Develop and execute integrated gas supply and capacity strategies for natural gas distribution and generation companies.Negotiate, develop, execute, and maintain service (i.e. transportation and storage capacity) and commodity contracts needed to support natural gas distribution and natural gas based generation fuel and service requirements.Provide work direction to Senior Gas Supply Analyst and/or Gas Supply Analysts.Develop annual Gas Supply Plans, hedge plans in cooperation with the Gas Supply Managers for regulatory approval or support.Support capacity planning and capacity improvement projects in cooperation with gas engineering.Support internal utility rate case modeling and external rate case investigations (i.e., FERC Section 4 or 5 pipeline rate cases) which may include sponsoring oral and written testimony.
