There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This Engineering position is at the Williams Generating Station. This is a Coal Fired Power Plant located in Goose Creek, SC.
Dominion Energy’s Williams Station is seeking a motivated engineer to help provide clean and reliable energy to the community. The Air Quality Control Engineer is responsible for improving pollution control systems to enhance reliability and performance, maintaining the pollution control system, reviewing operational changes to reduce system risk, and assisting with the analysis of the responsible systems. This engineer will be expected to provide technical expertise and technical leadership and will need to be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
Develop improvements to enhance the reliability and performance of pollution control equipment.
Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to maintenance departments at Williams Station.
Monitor and maintain the pollution control equipment at Williams Station.
Assist and participate in the equipment failure root cause analyses.
Document any projects completed or any changes made to pollution control equipment.
Manage multiple maintenance projects in regard to the pollution control equipment.
Maintain an accurate monthly budget over the pollution control systems.
Performing other duties as requested or assigned.

- Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
0-2+ years of engineering experience;
Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory and must have the following skills:
Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing),

Computer skills and application of software programs,
Analytical and abstract thinking skills,
Problem solving skills,
Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems;
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices;

Ability to develop project management skills and to handle multiple tasks;
Ability to work within a team environment.
3 or more years of relevant engineering experience is required.
Proficient knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.
Requires experience in a professional engineering position.
Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.
Understands and can apply knowledge of configuration management.
Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc.).
Planning, organizational and project management skills.
Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills.
Effective decision-making skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.
Ability to process information quickly & effectively manage multiple tasks.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or
Possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
