Job Description

AmeriGas Propane is the nation's largest propane distributor, serving over 2 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and motor fuel propane customers in all 50 states.

Job Summary:

The ACE Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of all ACE equipment. Techs are also responsible for proper documentation of all work performed and to be involved as required in the day to day production.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  • Can identify and respond to changes in operation of mechanical equipment

  • Models a commitment to safety through his/her own day-to-day behavior; follows company safety procedures and policies

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for inspecting , maintaining and repairing devices, machines and equipment

  • Ensuring the building structures, fixtures and other company related services are operating smoothly and efficiently

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections

  • Will dismantle and assemble equipment, electrical components and devices

  • Provide proper documentation of all work performed

  • Provide training to employees handling the equipment when needed

  • Be involved as required in the day to day production at the facility

  • Travel as required by job location – 25% or more in some cases

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience Preferred

  • Industrial preventive maintenance practices

  • Industrial repair/general maintenance experience

  • Industrial 3 phase experience

  • Electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • PLC troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Basic welding experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs like Word & Excel

  • Basic Carpentry experience

Experience Required:

  • 1 to 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical experience

  • Must possess workable computer skills such as typing, and working with web based programs

  • Ability to work with a team, but also be self-motivated to complete tasks independently

  • Outside / inside process and manufacturing operations in propane related environment

Job Summary:
