Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an Associate Business Performance Analyst or Mid-Level Business Performance Analyst to report out of the Glen Allen, VA location.

Finance

  • Work directly with Electric Transmission Project Management to develop project budget and forecast based on established SAP project scheduled plans, report financial results and prepare financial projections.

  • Develop and maintain budget and forecast plan for Transmission Line and Substation construction projects based on approved estimates.

  • Monitor project costs and communicate discrepancies, modify/maintain project forecasts

  • Support the Electric Transmission project closing process and annual goals by compiling asset data from several resources (SAP, Websys, scope of work) and processing in Power Plan

  • Support FERC filings, customer interrogatories and PJM reporting.

  • Identify and implement better work and business processes.

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial case studies for a business process

  • Perform a complex set of activities associated with analyzing, summarizing, reporting and projecting financial results.

  • Define and develop performance metrics, analyze and recommend data collection process improvements

  • Ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics

  • Develop cost models to support the development of business strategies

Scheduling

  • Work directly with Electric Transmission Project Management to develop project schedules, and establish project plans in SAP

  • Develop and maintain schedule and cost plan for Transmission Line and Substation construction projects based on approved estimates

  • Assign durations and work centers to activities, monitor project schedules and communicate discrepancies

  • Modify/maintain multiple project schedules, schedule/reschedule all activities and significant milestones based on Project Management guidance and approval

  • Modify SAP project WBS elements and networks as needed, assist in closing networks and activities

  • Assist with SAP end of month close process

  • Define and develop performance metrics, analyze and recommend data collection process improvements

  • Ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics

  • Identify and implement better work and business processes

  • Develop programs and implement automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance efficiencies

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Business Performance Analyst

  • 0-2 years of directly related experience in finance, budgeting, general accounting, project support, or project scheduling (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications)

Business Performance Analyst

  • 3+ years of directly related experience in finance, budgeting, general accounting, project support, or project scheduling (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications)

Strongly Preferred: (Be sure to include in your resume if you meet any of the following preferences)

  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously,

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.

  • Effective analytical skills.

  • Strong computer skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with Excel and Access

  • Power Plan software experience desired, but not required

  • Experience with Electric Transmission or Power Distribution Operations preferred, but not required
