Summary:
The Field Construction Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of contract resources for the safe, timely and efficient construction and maintenance of electric distribution facilities and meter and service activities to meet both ONCOR Electric Delivery timelines, Terms and Conditions and Service Level Agreements. The Field Construction Coordinator acts as a liaison between ONCOR Electric Delivery and various contractor resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels are sufficient to meet construction and maintenance dates and regulatory Terms and Conditions. Resolves issues and answers questions from the field related to construction and maintenance projects, service orders and MWM. Fields contacts from customers regarding all types of issues and concerns relating service work.
Key Responsibilities:
Adheres to company prescribed safety policies
Promote a positive image of ONCOR Electric Delivery to public
Promotes Safety in workplace for both contract and company employees
Understanding of contractual arrangements
Assign projects to contract crews
Verify sufficient construction resources are in place to meet requirements and/or acts to secure required resources thru proper process
Request material kits and interfaces with Material Coordinators to ensure proper materials are available to meet construction requirements
Update status of all construction activities in ACIS/Maximo on daily basis to ensure accurate records
Complete and submit Contractor Performance Evaluations. Ensure safety compliance, adherence to ONCOR Electric Delivery standards of construction, job site restoration and construction records and information are completed by and received from contract resources. Pre-construction, during construction and post construction
Participate in various types of construction meetings as required. Including but not limited to; Design Personnel, PMDS Managers, Vegetation Management, City Officials, DART, Third Party Contractors, Developers and Customers
Address construction issues as necessary to ensure timely construction of safe and efficient distribution system
Ensure proper construction practices are followed to minimize cost of projects
Verify proper permits are obtained for construction activities
Ensure all environmental laws and procedures are followed
Verify construction practices comply with all prescribed ordinances, company policies, governmental regulations and the Electric Service Guidelines
Communicate status of projects to interested parties as required
Proper disposition of “As-Built” information
Performs routine “On Call” rotation and emergency restoration
Verify accounting for invoices including O&M-vs.-Capital and ensure proper tax status is correctly indicated
Verify accuracy of contractor invoices
Ensure On Time completion for assigned projects
Coordinate service restoration with DOC as required
Interact with different work groups while meeting the customer’s deadline and maintaining a positive working relationship
Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
Skills :
Capacity to coordinate numerous projects over large geographic area
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Basic computer skills with preference in ACIS, Outlook, Word, Excel, Mobile TC, Maximo, Smart Grid Reports, OMS, CIS, and Work Tech Time
Knowledge of safe work practices relating to confined space entry, trench safety and OSHA regulation
Knowledge of underground and overhead Distribution Construction practices including but not limited to: Design, method of construction, specification and procedure and the Electric Service Guidelines
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
FCC A1-A2 - 3 plus years of directly related work experience is encouraged to apply
FCC Sr. - 5 plus years of directly related work experience is encouraged to apply
