Position Summary
As a Business Operations Analyst with our Transmission Construction Management (TCM) group at Oncor, you’re responsible for financial analysis in relation to the processes of overseeing all Capital and O&M financials associated with construction services within the Transmission Construction Management organization. This role assists with maintaining effective financial reporting, dashboards, and invoice certification processes.
This position will be up to 4 days in office.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist the TCM Business Operations team with financial controls and reporting processes for the Transmission organization.
Oversee the vendor invoicing process to ensure compliance with contracted rate structures and applicable contract terms and conditions for construction services contractors such as hourly Time and Material (T&M) rates, construction unit costs, lump sum/bid pricing.
Provide support for the development, implementation, and ongoing review of the processes and controls, which will be followed by all field construction and billing personnel involved in the invoice approval process.
Maintain relationships with various Oncor work groups such as Transmission Program Management Office (TPMO), Transmission Engineering (TE), Financial Support, and others to maintain consistent financial reporting and communication.
Responsible for various requests of vendor set up, Automated Clearing House (ACH) updates, and troubleshooting invoice resolution.
Follows internal policies regarding financial accrual reporting processes on a monthly basis.
Provide documentation necessary for Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) control reports and audit requests.
Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
Skills :
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams, experience managing projects and/or initiatives.
Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Education & Experience :
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in an accounting/finance role is required.
Will consider applicants with Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance is in lieu of above criteria.
Applicants with experience in accounts payable, project management, have an understanding of accounting principles such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX are encouraged to apply.
Applicants experienced with Enterprise Resource Programs (ERP) database programs are encouraged to apply.
