Summary
The Sr. Analyst is accountable for providing analytical and technical support to the Transmission Services organization which serves as the main point of contact for market entities in order to meet transmission-level electric service needs, including establishing and continuing maintenance of interconnections with the Oncor transmission system. The Sr. Analyst role supports the objectives of the organization generally through the development and administration of processes that will track projects throughout the life-cycle; records administration, organization and retention; and other general data management and reporting needs.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
• Be responsible for information management for transmission-level interconnection projects in all phases of the project lifecycle, from project inception through construction phases and project provisioning, includes post in-service programs; will serve as the primary data manager for Transmission Services Consultants and the organization in realizing project targets.
• Analyze information work streams for Transmission Services roles in the project flow to improve processes through the recommendation of enhancements and efficiencies.
• Provide active management of the organization’s needs for employment of the PETE transmission project tracking application, including: project data entry, update and maintenance; maintaining the expertise necessary to draw on the PETE database for various reporting needs; lead the support environment for users with needs to access the records of the Transmission Services project database.
• Establish and develop project tracking processes to assure interconnection requirements are achieved and realized; will include development of tracking processes to institute controls and clawbacks for certain contract provisions.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of Transmission Services organizational compliance requirements, including those specified by NERC, TRE, ERCOT, PUC or other authorities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for production of regular management and executive-level reporting, including priority reporting that could be required with minimal advance notice.
• Assume ownership of the Transmission Services records database and organize and retain files in a systematic and controlled structure to support document location and recovery.
• Assume a lead role as administrator for the Transmission Services website and the information presented, as well as enhancement of existing or new experience with SharePoint applications in improving the visibility of the organization.
• Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
Education, Experience, & Skills
The minimum education and experience:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required with 7-10 years of experience in the electric utility industry or computer science fields.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-8 years of electric utility experience is preferred.
