Nuclear Fuel Services Inventory Control Lead in Euclid, Ohio

Inventory Control Lead - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an orderly inventory flow of incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials with the department, including associated test samples.

  • Maintain an orderly system of storage for dock receipt paperwork.

  • Generate receiving inspections RTW line items in a timely manner for each incoming dock receipt package.

  • Provide direction to shop management assigned to the receipt inspection department.

  • Generate receipt paperwork package for each RTW line item for Materials Engineering review.

  • Facilitate communication between various production control groups in order to ultimately set work priorities in RTW, including urgent incoming material based on delivery and shop schedules.

  • Maintain timely and organized communication across all departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and any other support function to resolve priority receipt issues.

  • Maintain a system of communication with A&T to ensure rust check product is worked in accordance to production control priorities.

  • Execute completed receipt package final review and signoff.

  • Execute SAP transactions to stock product.

  • Close out completed RTW line items and maintain accurate RTW records throughout the entire process.

  • Execute appropriate transactions and communications upon RTV and MRB dispositions.

  • Maintain a system of communication with material handlers and inventory planners to ensure stocked product moves to the next work center or inventory crib in a timely manner.

  • Maintain a role of ownership ensuring the orderly upkeep of the main facility product inventory cribs and priority readiness.

  • Ensure compliance between written inventory practices to company policies and procedures.

  • Remain up-to-date on industry best practices and present to management when applicable.

  • Upon request or recognition of need, act as back-up support for critical Inventory Crib, Planning, Scheduling, and Manufacturing needs that are generally supported by the Inventory Control department.

  • Track metrics to report to management.

  • Align and manage departmental goals relating to inventory management to the overall goals of the facility and company.

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical discipline

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in inventory control or shipping/receiving role.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts is preferred.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience using SAP is preferred, though other ERP systems will be considered.

  • Must have organizational skills and ability to pay high attention to detail.

  • Ability to motivate self and work independently with others available for assistance when necessary.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
