Omaha Public Power District Intern Substation - Summer (May-Aug) - Elkhorn Ctr in Elkhorn, Nebraska

Department: Substation and System Protection

Location: Elkhorn service center

Duration: Summer (May-Aug) 2025

Work Schedule: Four ten hour days per week (plus possible overtime) for the summer. (40 hours a week)

Pay: $19.38 - $23.69 (per hour)

Job Responsibilities:

Work along side experienced substation and system protection technicians helping perform their day to day tasks.

Qualifications

Specific fields of study required: Electrical or Electrical mechanical or electronics two-year programs

2.5 GPA or higher is required

Actively enrolled in 2 year technical program

Current full-time student attending an accredited college/university

Technical Ability (i.e. software):

Work with hands, basic computer skills, basic mechanical aptitude, basic electrical theory.
