Your Impact at SAM
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil 3D CAD Technician to join our civil engineering team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers on private land development projects, focusing primarily on commercial and industrial site development. In this roleyou will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final project deliverables. Key Responsibilities Include:
Data Processing:
Process incoming field data utilizing SAM standards
Evaluate the accuracy and sufficiency of data
Ensure compliance with applicable industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the production and quality assurance of field crews
Conduct initial quality control (QC) of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure client-specific demands and expectations are being met
Maintain clear and effective communication with field and office staff to facilitate project completion
Project Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with engineers and designers on detailed civil engineering designs for land development projects
Prepare site development plans, specifications, and cost estimates under the guidance of the Project Manager
Technical Analysis:
Conduct technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering projects
Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools to create and review design drawings
Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
What You Bring to SAM
Minimum of one year of relevant experience required
Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus
Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
