The Administrative Assistant at Elizabethtown Gas works collaboratively with the Fleet, Warehouse and Meter Reading department leaders and team members to provide effective administrative support. This role provides the opportunity to coordinate the administrative activities of department leaders and provide field employees with top-tier customer service. This is an opportunity for the incumbent to practice organizational skills and stakeholder service skills. The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring that administrative objectives are met and contributing to department success. This role provides a dynamic work environment and opportunity for internal mobility at an organization that champions inclusion, community wellness, and sustainability.
Essential Functions :
Answe r phones and emails and handle incoming mail
Provide top-tier customer service to department leaders, field employees, and customers
Maintain files, e nter time, payroll, and PTO , and perform word processing and data entry
Prepare and enter purchase orders for materials and supplies , create receipts, code invoices, and track backorder s
Submit forms for vehicle titles, registrations, and other motor vehicle processes
Maintain fleet equipment database, reconciles company credit cards
Assign new customer’s meters to meter reading routes
Run reports and maintain spreadsheets
Required Skills :
Talented with Microsoft Suite , including Outlook and Teams
Ability to use common office equipment such as printers, copy machines, telephones, etc.
A “can-do” attitude, with strong customer service orientation and excellent follow-through abilities
Superb interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize efficiently while successfully managing multiple tasks with attention to detail
Proactive and thorough problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
Preferred Skills :
Hands-on experience with Workday
Required Background :
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years of experience in a customer service, call center, office assistant, or clerical environment
