PLEASE NOTE: The highly desired location for this role will be Westwood, MA however this person will be responsible for supporting all of the Northeast Region areas.
What you will do:
Liaise with Operations, and engineering to develop and review planning documents.
Develop and revise long range work plans, performing work lists, planning priority lists and work schedules for the geographic planning area to ensure we perform work that is properly planned and ready to implement.
Generate various facility and maintenance reports (e.g. backlog, delinquent PM’s schedule compliance, personnel availability, and planning accuracy).
Coach and mentor associate and developing planners/schedulers in the areas of planning, scheduling, inventory, procurement and MAXIMO processes.
Provide ongoing lessons learned and recommendations towards the continuous improvement of planning/scheduling in U.S. Transmission.
Provide in-depth knowledge of pipeline operation and maintenance activities and knowledge of the planning, scheduling, procurement and the integrated management systems (e.g. PM, MM, CO) and can perform complex tasks.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
- Related university degree and 2 years’ experience OR four‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Strong computer skills (MS Office) and analytical skills.
Experience with work management systems.
Job scoping and estimating, maintenance planning & scheduling.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas (Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, arc flash protective clothing, etc.).
Ability to work in hot, cold or inclement climates (outdoor conditions).
Must be able to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response.
Ability to work outside of traditional business hours as needed.
Expected Travel: 20-30% within the Northeast region of the United States.
Financial Responsibility:
- Will assist with management of budget through Work Order creation of scheduled tasks.
Decision Making Responsibility:
- Review requests with consistency with OMP’s and with Transmission guidelines. Will have to make decisions on priority of work to be completed. Will make recommendations to Area Supervision on deployment of field personnel.

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
