Enbridge is delighted to welcome a Process Safety Information (PSI) Mainline Operating Pressure (MOP) Engineer-In-Training onto the team! While in this role you will work under the guidance of a senior engineer and be responsible for making technical recommendations based on sound technical and business justification that impact critical business decisions within the organization. You will develop knowledge/experience in the mainline operating pressure (MOP) of mainline and facility piping for Enbridge’s Liquids Pipeline systems in Canada and the USA.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform engineering analysis and provide engineering solutions under the mentorship of a senior engineer for design pressure restrictions to Projects, Operations, Compliance and Regulatory internal groups for Enbridge’s Liquids Pipeline systems in Canada and the USA Engineering analysis impacts the operational optimization of Enbridge’s pipeline system and prevents pipeline failures.

  • Document assumptions and conclusions for review

  • Work on mainline and facility MOP initiatives developing technical recommendations based on compelling technical and business related justification. Ensure leadership is well informed on initiatives by develop a keen understanding of scope, creating meaningful metrics, and establishing the best fit methods to communicate progress.

  • Foster and support Enbridge ways of working by recognizing and adhering to Enbridge’s values of integrity, safety, respect and inclusion.

Who You Are:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum two years of experience in industry

  • Registered as an EIT

  • Demonstrated proficiency working with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Excel).

  • Strong, proven analytical capabilities with the ability to work dynamically and effectively handle competing priorities and targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to speak and write in clear, concise, and organized manner using accurate grammar, including presentations.

Working conditions:

  • Work performed both in field and office

  • Travel approximately less than 25% of the time within Canada and United States

  • Exposed to stressful situations where smart decisions must be made without supervision.
