We anticipate the need for one Facilities Serviceperson to be located at the Eau Claire, Skypark office, with required travel to other sites within the NSPW region. The starting base pay for this position is$25.35 hourly. Standard working hours will be from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. The position will be posted for 15 Working Days fromMay 25th, 2023 to June 14th, 2023.

In this position, you will need to be self-motivated, work well on a team and have a positive attitude. A strong commitment to work safely, provide quality customer service, create customer satisfaction and to work productively will be very important to your success.

Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance and repairs

• Receive, repair, assemble, move or set furniture, furniture systems, office or conference room furnishings and company furnished office equipment

• Perform groundskeeping duties

• Snow removal in designated priority areas

• Sweep and clean designated areas

• Set up conference rooms and/or audio/visual equipment

• Change light bulbs

• Create and/or hang interior and exterior signage

• Parking lot upkeep and maintenance

• Pest removal

• Ceiling tile replacement

• Wall repair and/or painting

• Floor tile and carpet, maintenance or repair

• Safely handle materials and equipment used in work performance

• Deliver company property to exhibition or meeting sites as required

• General facilities upkeep on interior and exterior of Xcel Energy Facilities

• Use forklift to move Xcel Energy property.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Valid driver's license

• Two years of formal education in commercial building maintenance or equivalent experience

• Adaptability to multiple computer systems and programs

• Requires participation in after-hour emergency callouts in all kinds of weather conditions

• Must be committed to working safely and compliance with all company safety rules

• Must be able to perform work in confined spaces and be able to lift and maneuver up to 60 pounds

• Must have a high mechanical aptitude

• Must be able to operate a power sweeper, snow blower, and lawn maintenance equipment.

• Must be able and willing to climb and work at heights

• Demonstrated ability to work independently

• Must have good communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to travel and work away from home

• Must reside within 20-mile radius of assigned service center within the first 6 months of hire

• Receive forklift certification within first 6 months of hire
