We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Gas Supply team as an Associate Gas Supply Portfolio Analyst.

This position assists and supports in the daily operations of the Gas Supply Portfolio and Operations function. Assists in maintenance and administration of various department databases and analysis. Supports Gas Supply Accounting and Retail Choice program activity.

The role can be based in Berlin, CT or Westwood, MA

Essential Functions

• Assists in all aspects of the daily, monthly and seasonal load forecasting and portfolio management including scheduling gas, reconciling daily activity and ad-hoc analysis.
• Keeps current with pipeline tariffs, rate cases and other filings.
• Maintains and administers various databases utilized to forecast demand, pricing and weather.
• Performs special analyses as needed.
• Works closely with various team members and Department experts to complete annual filings and reports.
• Supports the Portfolio and Operations Analysts as needed in area of supply acquisition, RFPs, nominations, accounting and market analysis.
• Assists in the monthly reconciliation with Gas Accounting and Retail Choice programs.

Technical Knowledge/Skills

• Strong spreadsheet, analytical and statistical skills (e.g. regression analysis, lookup & reference functions) with attention to details and deadlines
• Knowledge of gas transportation, production, distribution, storage and system operation
• Knowledge of contracting practices and/or procurement activities
• Knowledge of pipeline tariffs, and of pipeline and distribution facilities and operational characteristics
• Knowledge of computer operation, various pipelines’ electronic bulletin boards and nomination systems and gas SCADA systems
• Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and pipeline bulletin boards
• Requires computer modeling skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience

• 1 + years of experience

Working Conditions

• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
• Our hybrid schedule is 90 days in the office and then move to hybrid flexible schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position starts at $67,730.00 to $75,250.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
