MISO Energy Engineer I-II Resource Adequacy in Eagan, Minnesota

Position Location:  Eagan, MN or Carmel, IN

As our Resource Adequacy Engineer, you will help our members ensure there is sufficient electrical capacity in times of need so we can maintain a reliable grid. You will have the opportunity to determine the Planning Reserve Margin for our footprint, administer MISO’s Planning Resource Auction, perform capacity accreditation, and collaborate to develop new tools and processes.

As our  Resource Adequacy Engineer , you will be part of a cross-functional team that establishes MISO’s Planning Reserve Margins, conducts the Planning Resource Auction, and monitors resource performance.

In one year as our  Resource Adequacy Engineer , you will know you were successful when we’ve helped our members navigate the on-going resource fleet transition and meet MISO’s Resource Adequacy requirements.

We are looking for talented professionals who have:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology, or related field.  

Experience or ability to learn MISO Module E Capacity Tracking (MECT), Integ powergads / GVTC, running studies using Astrape SERVM, GE MARs, Siemens PSSE, MUST and/or PowerGEM TARA.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
