Responsible for working in conjunction with communication specialists and assigned business units to write, edit, and proofread various internal and external communications, including, but not limited to: feature articles, publications, brochures, social media, investor/public relations materials, presentations, advertising, press releases, speeches, etc. Currently, there are openings in both our Fossil Generation, and Distribution Operations teams.
Works with Corporate Communications team and leadership to design and execute effective communications to support and helps achieve the enterprise and business unit specific priorities
Writes, edits, revises, and proofreads various internal and external communications media and campaigns.
Manages information and conducts research.
Meets with business unit clients to gain understanding of communication objectives and campaigns. Develops and executes communications plans.
Researches media coverage and industry trends.
Assists with and contributes to communications strategy for the company and assigned business unit.
Makes recommendations on further development and advancement of communications for external and internal audiences.
Active in the content development process, including generating story ideas, managing deadlines, design, and production.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline.
Ability and willingness to travel in state
Experience in communications.
Strong writing, editing, and proofing abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to write quickly and accurately for different media and audiences.
Ability to research, investigate and find answers.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions, while being deadline oriented.
Solid project and time management skills.
Proactive contributor with strong customer focus and the ability to maintain relationships and create consensus in support of shared outcomes.
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix work environment.
